Mussoorie
38kms from Dehradun exist a fascinating Hill Station MUSSOORIE, commanding a wonderful view of the extensive Himalayas range to the north-east and Doon Valley to the South. It is also known as the "QUEEN OF HILLS" and is popular as one of the most attractive tourist destination during summers in the North.
Places of Tourist Interest : 
Bhandraj Temple :
it is situated about 15km in the extreme western region of Mussoorie town; this temple is dedicated to Lord Balbhadra, brother of Shri Krishna.
Camel's Back Road :
it is charming pony trek or walk which girdles the north base of Gun Hill. A fine view of sun-set can be enjoyed from here.
Children's lodge :
it is the highest peak of Mussoorie and has a telescope which provides awe inspiring views of the Himalayas and Doon Valley.
Gun Hill :
this second highest peak of Mussoorie had a gun mounted over it, which was fired to herald mid-day. Travelling by the 400m ropeway connecting the Mall to Gun Hill is quite exciting.
Jwalaji Temple :
9kms to the west of Mussoorie and at an altitude of 2104mts is the Jwalaji Temple. It is situated on the top of the Benog Hill and has an idol of Mata Durga in it. The temple is surrounded by the forests and offers a panoramic view of the Himalayan peaks, Doon Valley and Yamuna Valley.
Nag Devta Temple :
this ancient temple, situated on Cart Road is about 6km from Mussoorie.
Surkhanda Devi :
situated at an elevation of 3030mts above sea level near village Kaddu Khal, the temple of Surkhanda Devi is about 40kms from Mussoorie and 8kms from Dhanolti. Visitors can go up to Kaddu Khal by Bus or by Car from where the temple is 2kms on foot.
